Welcome to Llandegfan
Llandegfan is a village on the south of Anglesey, North Wales. It is 2 miles from Beaumaris and 4 miles from Bangor. The original village of Hen Llandegfan was on the ancient track from Pentraeth to Beaumaris but most of the expansion in Llandegfan during the 20th century has taken place to the South West. This has been mainly due to it being a great place to bring up children because of the excellent local primary school, the lack of through-traffic, and its proximity to both Bangor and the A55.
The primary school in Llandegfan is in the centre of the village and teaches around 150 children between the ages of 4 and 11.
The village is served by a general store with a Post Office, a public house (the Pen-Y-Cefn) and is a short walk away from the amenities of Menai Bridge.
A number of activities and events are arranged by the Parish Hall and this range of activities is increasing.
Llandegfan is also home to the Llandegfan Leopards football team which was established in 1997.
Llandegfan also boasts fantastic views of the Snowdonia National Park and a wide variety of walks along its many public footpaths.
Croeso i Llandegfan
Lleolir pentref bach Llandegfan yn Ne Ynys Môn yng Ngogledd Cymru, saif ddwy filltir o Fiwmares a phedair milltir of Fangor. Yn hanesyddol roedd yr hen bentref ar y hen heol o Bentraeth i Fiwmares ond datblygu i’r de ddwyrain wnaeth y pentref yn yr ugeinfed ganrif. Y prif resymau am y datblygiad oedd y faith bod Llandegfan yn lle delfrydol i fagu plant oherwydd safon yr ysgol gynradd, dim ond ychydig o draffig a’r faith ei fod yn gyfleus i Fangor a’r A55.
Calon y pentref yw’r ysgol gynradd. Mae tua 150 o blant rhwng 4 – 11 oed yn yr ysgol.. Mae siop gyffredin efo Swyddfa Post, tafarn Pen-y-Cefn yn gwasanaethu’r trigolion. Mae nifer o weithgareddau yn cael ei threfnu gan Neuadd y Plwyf hefyd.
Cafodd y tîm pêl droed “Llandegfan Leopards” ei sefydlu yn 1997.
